To develop resources to support the coach education program in delivering an integrated coaching framework for Rugby League.
The Solutions
Coach Development resource – As a partner to the RFL, Tacklesport designed and developed an interactive desktop resource, including a coaching diary for those progressing along levels 1 and 2 of the UKCC, enabling them to plan and deliver effective coaching sessions.
Primary Rugby – Tacklesport designed and developed a resource for coaches working with children aged from 7-11 years. This resource was designed to assist coaches in providing a positive game based learning experience for young children including video analysis and animated content.
Primary Rugby League pilot launched
Rugby League Leaders – This resource is used to deliver a recognised Award to students who are in Year 10 and 11 at high school or in further education. By the end of the 6 session programme all pupils are able to plan, organise and deliver a coaching session/festival, referee a modified game in a safe environment and display a report on the festival. This award enables the students to become qualified leaders with a view to further opportunities of volunteering in the sport of Rugby League.
