Primary School PE

Although GB may currently sit impressively 3rd in the 2012 Olympics medal table, UK Government Minister Jeremy Hunt has suggested that we should not get too carried away. He has suggested that we cannot take it for granted that future stars will be in abundance stating in a BBC Breakfast interview that primary PE provision is patchy and that for some children there is an element of luck when it comes to opportunities to engage in sport.

Tacklesport has recognised for many years that there is a need to support PE teachers at both primary and secondary school level, and have developed a range of resources to improve the quality of provision. Our recently released Move-Play-Learn initiative is the latest example of the support on offer – once again we are ‘on-the-ball’ when it comes to helping teachers and pupils get maximum opportunity for their PE and Sport programmes.
