England Basketball - National Governing Body for Basketball

The Specification

To produce an interactive resource for England Basketball to improve Teaching & Coaching  Basketball at Key stages 1 to 4.

The Solution

Tacklesport’s involvement with England Basketball dates back to 2002 when the Governing Body first endorsed Animated Skill Drills for Basketball (Now G.A.P.S. Basketball). As a result of this successful collaboration, Tacklesport was commissioned to produce a teaching and coaching resource to support users from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

As with most of the projects Tacklesport is involved with we were responsible for the full project life-cycle from Story-board development, creation of graphics and animations, on-site filming of the pupils through to delivering the final product.

The product supports a Games Based approach to the development of Basketball Skills, identifying the key components of each game and providing a range of suitable activities and skills to complement the game.
