Tacklesport are pleased to announce that Rob Cook (former Tacklesport employee) has been signed for Premiership Rugby Club Gloucester! Rob, who had previously worked for Tacklesport as an animator, has been a stand out performer in the Championship. A key player for Cornish Pirates during his spell at the club, he made 104 appearances and scored an impressive 1,029 points in his 3 years there. Rob commented, “It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m genuinely excited at the prospect, as playing in the Premiership has always been a goal of mine.” His huge impact on his Championship side has not gone un-noticed and speaking on behalf of Cornish Pirates, CEO Rod Coward stated, “We will always be grateful for the contribution that he has made to the Pirates and we wish him every success at Gloucester.” Although excited to be moving to a Premiership Club, Rob was his laid back self when speaking to Tacklesport, saying ‘I’m pretty happy its happened’. Rob will be living in Worcester with his girlfriend Kath (who we guess is also ‘pretty happy’!) and we expect to see him popping in from time to time to ‘rob’ the biscuit barrell!! We are also eager to find out what the future holds for him now he is in the Cherry & Whites .
