London 2012 have announced the street route of the Olympic Torch Relay and confirmed the Torchbearers who will carry the flame. The relay kicks off in just under 2 months time starting at Land’s End and finishing 70 days later on Friday 27th July at the Olympic Stadium. The route has been planned so that the torch will come within 10miles of 95% of people in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. The Torch was designed to feature 8,000 small cut-out circles to represent each of the 8,000 torchbearers who will carry the flame on its journey throughout the UK.
