G.A.P.S. Sports Coaching App

After many months of development and testing we are pleased to announce that the long awaited G.A.P.S. ® Sports Coaching app has been released.

Endorsed by several National Governing Bodies of sport and employing Tacklesport’s G.A.P.S. ® (Games, Activities, Practices and Skills) approach, key skills for practice or development specific to individual participants can be identified through Games and related Activities and developed further in Practices and Skill development exercises without whole groups having to engage in ‘drills’ or practices that are not relevant to their needs.

This is a MUST HAVE app for any serious sports coach or PE teacher… saving you time, helping you be creative, and engaging your players and pupils.

We have already thought of some new ideas to make it even better (which will be released over subsequent weeks and months) but we would welcome user ideas and examples of how you have used it and what you would like to see happen.

This app is another piece of the G.A.P.S. puzzle increasing the family to:

· G.A.P.S. Coaching Software

· G.A.P.S. app

· G.A.P.S Courses

Why not join the G.A.P.S. revolution and put some creativity and life back into your teaching & Coaching and the best part is that its FREE !

UK Coaching Awards 2011

For the second time in 4 years Tacklesport has been recognised for its innovative and high quality work with National Governing Bodies of Sport. In 2008 Tacklesport was part of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s nomination for the ‘Coaching Environment’ of the Year award for our work in writing, developing and producing ‘Howzat!’  This year we were again recognized at the Coach of the Year Awards for our work in the Coaching Intervention of the Year category. This award is for ‘a project/programme or contributions made by an agency to enhance activity using coaching as the means to get more people starting, staying and/or succeeding in sport ….’ Listed as one of three finalists through our work in further developing Howzat! as the coach development tool for the ECB, we narrowly lost out to AEGON School Tennis Although disappointed we enjoyed the evening and had the opportunity to chat with a wide variety of coaches and coach educators, including Coach of the Year Winner Andy Flower – Howzat!!
